Ordering workwear with your company logo starts with choosing clothing that suits the people wearing it. A consistent logo matters, but so do the garment's fit, care requirements and the sizes your team actually needs. Use this guide to prepare a clear order before creating your design.

1. Choose the garments for each role

Start with the working outfit rather than the decoration. A polo shirt may suit a reception or service role, while an apron can be part of a café or kitchen outfit. Outer layers need their own fit and garment checks. Compare the fabric, measurements, available colours and care instructions on each product page.

Browse personalised polo shirts, personalised aprons and jackets and gilets. Decoration is available only where shown on the selected product. A product's appearance alone does not establish suitability for a protective role; use its stated specifications for that purpose.

2. Compare logo printing and embroidery

Option Finish What to check
DTF printing A printed design on the garment Artwork clarity, intended size, colours and a supported print option
Embroidery A design formed with stitches Readable lettering, suitable detail, placement and embroidery-ready artwork

Choose the finish you want, then check that the chosen garment supports it. A detailed picture and a simple staff name place different demands on the decoration. If you are unsure, ask us to review the design before purchasing.

3. Prepare your company logo

Use the clearest original artwork you have. A screenshot of a small logo can lose detail when enlarged, so check the design at the size you intend to use. Decide which wording must stay readable and whether the logo needs a background.

A JPG or PNG is a picture, rather than a machine embroidery file. If you only have an image and want embroidery, it may need digitising into stitch instructions. Use a supported embroidery file or an eligible design from the Printlab embroidery library where required by the ordering flow. Contact us if you need help preparing a logo.

4. Collect sizes and quantities

Make a simple order list containing each garment style, colour, size, quantity and decoration choice. Record individual staff names separately if they differ. Compare each person's measurements with the selected garment's size guide; a size label from another brand is not a reliable substitute.

For example, a café might need polos for its service team and aprons for kitchen staff. List the two styles separately, identify who needs each size, and state whether the same logo or different names should appear on them.

5. Review the design and delivery information

Before checkout, check spelling, logo size, placement, the selected variants and the basket total. Read the shipping policy for current delivery information. If the clothing is for an opening, event or other fixed date, discuss that date with us before ordering.
